FOXEN Wine Dinner on Wednesday October 21 at 7PM

The Plumed Horse is delighted to announce the next winemaker dinner with Dick and Jenny Doré of Foxen Vineyard and Winery. Dick, along with his partner, Bill Wathen have been making wine together since 1985; and since that time FOXEN has become one of Santa Barbara County’s most heralded wineries.

FOXEN is situated on the historic 2000-acre Rancho Tinaquaic in Northern Santa Barbara County, which has been in the Doré family since 1837. Their vineyard-focused wines are made from grapes sourced in the Santa Maria and Santa Ynez Valley appellations—all within the County of Santa Barbara.

The Foxen winemaking philosophy focuses on high quality, sustainable viticultural practices in the vineyards combined with light touch winemaking. As winemaker Bill Wathen explains, "The job of the winegrower is to record the organoleptic history of the vineyard year in the bottle, with as little fingerprint as possible. If I can accomplish this each vintage, then I have rewarded myself.”

The evening will feature Chef Peter's cuisine paired with wines from FOXEN.

The winemaker dinner will be held on Wednesday October 21 at 7pm.

Price is $165 per person.
