Williams Selyem Winery Dinner - Thursday May 23 at 7pm

The Plumed Horse is delighted to announce our next winemaker dinner featuring Jeff Mangahas of the Williams Selyem Winery. Jeff grew up in Washington State, graduating from the University of Washington in 1993 with a B.S. in Cellular and Molecular Biology. After starting a career in cancer research, Jeff was drawn to the wine world and received his M.S. in Enology from UC Davis in 2003. After almost a decade in the business, Jeff was named winemaker at Williams Selyem in 2011.

Williams Selyem Winery began as a simple dream of two friends, Ed Selyem and Burt Williams, who pursued weekend winemaking as a hobby in 1979 in a garage in Forestville, California, and made their first commercial vintage in 1981. In less than two decades, Burt and Ed created a cult-status winery of international acclaim.

John and Kathe Dyson purchased the winey in 1998. The Dyson’s were hand-picked as the buyers because they were long-time list members who were dedicated to carrying on the traditions painstakingly built by the founders. Today Williams Selyem continues to produce wines of distinction and high acclaim.

The winemaker dinner will be held on Thursday May 23 at 7pm. The evening will feature Library selections and current release wines from Williams Selyem paired with Chef Peter's cuisine.

Price is $158 per person. For reservations, please call (408)867-4711
